Landmines and Butterflies

Our P day began at 4:30 am when very loud music began playing for this wedding around the block.

The wedding party walks around the block with the wedding party.  For three days we get to hear this loud wedding music.  Quite the way to celebrate a wedding.

We were able to see the Cambodia Landmine Museum.

Here is a display showing soldiers who placed landmines in thousands of places in Cambodia

Lots of weapons and land mines were on display which were used in the early 70s in Cambodia.

These danger signs are posted to warn people of landmines.  But all the landmines have not been located and even today people, generally children who are playing come on to the landmines who are maimed for the rest of their life.

This is often how it looks when landmines are located in Cambodia.  This can be very tragic for people who accidently come upon these landmines.

Next we went to a beautiful butterfly park.

The orchids and other flowers are amazing.

.
The plants and the pond with this cute frog tastefully added to the setting.

Butterflys were everywhere - notice the butterfly on the flower in front of the display sign.

We loved watching the butterflies.
