For Father's Day we explored the USS Battleship Missouri.
It was on the USS Battleship Missouri where Japan signed the WW II Peace Treaty.
We ate dinner, stayed overnight and ate breakfast on Father's Day.

The USS Missouri was amazing.
It is located very close to the Arizona Memorial.
Dennis especially loved being here.
He put his backpack on his bunk for the night and joined the encampment group to learn about his battle station assignment.
Our group was small - great for individual attention.
We looked out and saw these US Destroyers and Cruisers docked nearby.

We ended the day with retrieving the colors.

It was time for our dinner with our group.

Retired officers gave us some instruction on how to go to flank speed. Wow.
Now this looks fun - just like the movie Battleship.

We loved walking around and seeing it all.

With everything in order it was time to go. We learned a lot. What a great Father's Day gift.
