Today, Feb 28th, is the long awaited day when we fly from Salt Lake City to Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The flight to Los Angeles was short. The flight from LA to Hong Kong which was 15 hours and 15 minutes was definitely longer but everything worked out very well.
The last leg of the trip from Hong Kong to Phnom Penh was simply 2 and 1/2 hours. We had finally arrived!
We were met at the airport in Phnom Penh by Robin Tuck and we stayed at his home for the first few days. They are wonderful friends of ours from Provo and missionaries in Cambodia.
Here are several senior missionaries who met us at the airport.
Here are some of the senior couples: the Snyders, Ellingsons, Spencers, Hendersons, Tucks and us.
We were happy to arrive at the Phnom Penh Cambodia airport.
After all the greetings, we went to Mikes for hamburgers. Mike had been in the USA and loved In and Out Burger and tries to imitate those hamburgers.
Our next stop was to go to the LDS Mission Home in Phnom Penh. It was great. We loved it.
Next we wanted to go to the gigantic markets located in Phnom Penh. First we saw fruit.
Next vegetables and fish.
Flowers. I always love seeing the flowers.
Dennis liked seeing some very interesting fish (we bought none).
We enjoyed seeing two of the large food markets (Central Market and Orussey Market) before going home to the Tucks. We are so excited to be here in Cambodia!!!
