We had an amazing all day adventure at a Saudi Camel Farm.
Here are two of Dennis' MBA students, Firas and Ibrahim, who invited us to come see their farm.
Dennis loved seeing the camels upclose and personal. They would even nudge Dennis and just loved playing with him.
Wynnette loved seeing the camels too.
This was a view of much of his land, some of his many camels and the bedouin tent.
We were shown numerous animals.
And we saw the large spread of vegetables that were grown right there on their farm. We also were able to eat some of the delicious vegetables.
They showed us their fish pond where they harvest fish.
But the great love was for the camels. Firas introduced Dennis to some of the camels he loves.
We were invited into their bedouin tent for refreshments and shade. We had many interesting conversations.
They made us Saudi bread.
Then we watched them cook it before we got to eat it.
They invited many friends to come meet us. We had fascinating discussions, one about Mormons and Muslims and their similar beliefs and practices. Once we had talked with all his friends, we ate dinner together.
Dennis and I had a fantastic day learning so much about Saudi culture. Thanks to Ibrahim and Firas for their hospitality.

That seems out of this world to me! I recently came back from Australia which was very similar to the US, I'm not sure how it would be to be amongst a people that seem to be traditionally rooted to the dessert dwellers of old.
Exciting adventure. Farms are so different there. That bread looks almost like a pancake.
