Here are the living conditions of some of the poor.
It is pretty meager for some.
Water buffalo are often used by the poor as work animals.
Notice the transportation for many - the yellow and green inexpensive taxis and of course the bicycles.
The old man has a heavy load and must walk his bike to earn money for his family.
These cute boys were playing on the street.
These two women were sweepers at a museum.
Contrast the poor with this hotel view.
Here we are standing by the pool.
We went to an amazing baby shower done very lavish for a couple, the mom included in the picture. This is a real contrast to the very poor.

I have no idea of the direction except that it is quite a bit a ways from Banglore, about an hour or so by bus.
There is a stark difference there, it is sad to see such desperate poverty. My friend frequently donates money to buy meals for the poor, it makes me feel more strongly how important such charitable work is over there.
