Sailing to Cameroon from the Canary Islands + the view of our cabin

 We had a big party just before we left Las Palmas in the Canary Islands

 There are so many nice people on the ship

 Up on the top deck cars were lined up ready to go.

Dennis has an international drivers license so he can drive these vehicles.

 We loved walking around and seeing all the preparations.

During the sail I continued working in the dining room and Dennis continued doing accounting.

 The view was beautiful.

 We watched as we sailed each day - for 12 days.

 We got to go in the captain's loft and got a tour.

 We became Diamond Shellbacks (note the certificate) since we crossed the line which is on 0 degrees longitude and 0 degrees latitude.

This was church on the ship with lots of singing.

 After 12 days we made it to Douala, Cameroon.  A tugboat helped us so we could land

 There on land was a lot of singing and dancing.

We were all celebrating being in Cameroon.

There were also a lot of officials.

What a joy to finally arrive.
