Christmas in Salem, Oregon

We had so much fun with Sydney, Dave, Charlie, Stacy and Morgan

Grandma had fun helping Morgan and Sydney make their gingerbread houses.

We drove to Black Butte Resort in central Oregon with lots of snow for four days.

 This was our cabin in an ideal setting.

Besides the cabin, we had a hot tub on the balcony which we all loved.  Most fun was sitting in the hot tub with it snowing.  Wow.

 The kids were able to meet Santa there at the lodge.  They loved that.

 We loved being there together with Santa and hearing the girls tell him what they want for Christmas.

 We then went on a sleigh ride for a half hour - laughing and singing Christmas carols all the way.

 After hot chocolate and the sleigh ride, we went around the outside fire for more fun.

Morgan and Sydney loved being in the snow.

 Stacy and Dave were happy to go skiing for two days there at Black Butte Ranch.

Christmas Eve we were back at Stacy and Dave's house where the story of Jesus birth was told with visual aids and the cookies and milk was placed for Santa.

On Christmas day, the first thing we did was open Christmas presents. 

 Dave and Stacy helped Charlie open his presents.

What was most fun was opening the presents.

 The girls showed us new hats, scarves and gloves.

 Here Charlie was in his Mercedes car.  But the girls each took a turn driving the car too.

Christmas dinner was delicious with salmon, our choice.

Christmas was wonderful but even the littlest Charlie got tired on his First Christmas.
