Farewell Cambodia

Here the primary children are singing the song "Do As I'm Doing".  They are so cute.

The primary children were preparing this for sacrament meeting and performed for our new mission president and his wife.

We were happy to have a new mission president, President Moon and his wife who visited Siem Reap.

Here the entire Siem Reap district and the Moons which included their two daughters posed at our church in Siem Reap.

Here Elder Greer and I were going to say goodbye to some members.

This was one of the families in the branch who we loved.

We visited so many families who lived by this lake right next to Angkor Wat.

The view there at Angkor Wat was beautiful.

This boy was in the lake with his cow trying to cool off.  The temperature was always at least 95 degrees with high humidity.

We said goodbye to Maryna, her son and her sister.  She is investigating the church.

This was our last chance to see some of the wonderful sisters in the branch at their homes.

We had our final lunch at our apartment for the missionaries.  Since the missionaries were not permitted to eat with the members, we had them over each week or took them to a restaurant.

This member showed us how she was ironing by putting hot charcoal in the iron.

We said goodby to this delightful family of six children.  They were always happy and we were able to share candy with the children.

We went shopping one last time for those items to share with our family.

Our last P day activity was visiting the zoo.  Dennis always said we would see the elephants in Cambodia and here were a few.  We saw others at Angkor Wat.

We were especially grateful for our translators Da and Dana who helped us so much.

We loved all our translators namely Da and Dana who were cousins and Sophy.  We could not have been able to work with the members without them.  They are wonderful.

Finally we had those last days in Cambodia.  We said goodbye to our mission president, President Moon and his wife at the mission home.

Tradition has it that we walk the red carpet on the completion of our mission.  It was a wonderful day.  We loved our experiences that we had in Cambodia.

This would be the last times we would be wearing our missionary name tags.  Notice we have the name tags in both English and Cambodian.

With our suitcases packed we said goodbye to a few senior missionaries and boarded our plane to America.

We stopped at the airport in South Korea.  This was fascinating.  We are so grateful for our opportunity to serve a mission in Cambodia.
